2012 Ford with the help of the F150 ltd edition dept developed what could be described as the ultimate 4x4 off road sports truck that the world may have ever seen, The Ford F150 Raptor. Now its gone from a show vehicle with tons of  appeal to a Super crew cab with tons of appeal.

Ford  have made this purpose built off road vehicle standard with the 6.2 ltr V8. This F150 is the most powerful  half tonne now in the world.

On or off road the Ford Raptor delivers style and charisma found in very few  trucks and sports vehicles. Unfortunately for Australia the raptor will be a rare item limited to direct imports only.

What was initially developed as a  prototype has now developed into a regular sales line for Ford in the US. The thought here was really a vehicle  to supply the middle east as part of the growing off road culture there. The Middle east has its very own rally and off road racing events that draw thousand  of spectators. The Ford Raptor would be a ideal candidate as a base vehicle for some of these rally and off road classes.
