Nice to see some terrific stats come out of Ford USA for sales of the Ford F150. On a recent release this is what Ford US had to say about the sales of the F 150.

That makes it 33 years at the number one spot in its class.

For the 33rd year in a row, Ford’s award-winning F-Series is America’s best-selling truck with 2009 sales of 413,625. F-series outsold its nearest truck rival by more than 97,000 units, the largest margin in three years.

In addition, for the 28th consecutive year, F-Series is once again America’s best-selling vehicle of any type – car, crossover, SUV, truck or van.

F-Series sales for 2009 totalled 413,625, which increased its segment share by 4 percentage-points. December sales for F-Series were 48,209, a 16 percent increase over December 2009 and the best sales month since March 2008."

Ford F150 2009 comes at a time when Ford USA are looking for the magic bullet. The F150 isn't that, but a slight revamp and a push for it to be the most economical in its class may see the F150 bounce back in Sales throughout the USA and Ford will be excited.

The Grill has changed and so has the rear tail lights this re design is the latest since 2004.

To confuse buyers even more there are now 7 model level, The lariat is now below the Platinum edition that is just luxury and aimed at the portion of the market that just need to look good. New features like powered running boards will be a huge hit with the gadget crazy. Interior quality is the brief and this truck is exquisite right to the leather dash.

Rear seats in the dual cab offer generous space and the flat floor means carrying space is improved when the rear seats are up.

Fuel economy is better!

Ford want to hang their hat on fuel economy in a world were we don't have any idea of fuel prices and the F150 is better by 1 mile per gallon US.

The 2009 F150 looks great, the upper models are just luxury but the real fuel economy and engine changes will occur in the 2010 model Ford F150 Ford 2009 F150 rear view .
