Ford F350 Armoured Vehicle
The Ford F350 has played and is playing its part in the Iraqi war with the Police dept purchasing 300 Ford F350 Super duty pick up trucks in 2008. Known as the Ultra AP or Armoured patrol this concept type F350 chassis uses lightweight armour plate , special blast resistant and bullet proof glass. Seating also has been modified so no passenger is situated over the wheels of the vehicle. Armour is also quite heavy on the underside of the F350 vehicle. In other world trouble spots like Afghanistan it has been report that a order of 5000 F350 armour vehicles have been ordered for deployment in harsh terrain areas.
