Keeping up during hard time Ford still maintain their development of limited edition models. Most focussing on the F150 range. Here is one for 2009. The Dewalt F150.

When there is a job to do, Ford F-Series trucks are the leading choice for the men and women who need to get it done. The 2009 Ford F-150 continues this work truck leadership with even more capability and smart pickup features than ever before.

Designed to be the ultimate tool for contractors, DeWalt's director of business development Jennifer Ervin says for its concept F-150 the company "thought how a contractor uses his or her truck on the job" and worked to add every conceivable application to turn it into a rolling workshop. These include Ford's new Work Solutions software with DeWalt's Tool Link, which helps ensure all necessary tools for a job are loaded before departure, a built-in charger for battery powered equipment, and special storage compartments, among others. To carry around all that extra weight the powertrain has also been modified for improved performance and efficiency.

Ford f150 dewalt limitedThe Heavy Duty DEWALT Contractor turns the 2009 F-150 into the ultimate tough truck for any job site with features that will drive productivity and help contractors achieve their peak performance. Fords Non stop innovation in the truck market (USA) by Jay Stevens

Ford Defective Door Attorney Says: (USA)  by Anna Henningsgaard

America's Best Selling, Most Capable Pickups Add More Choices And More Innovative Features For 2008   Thanks to Ford USA

Ford F-Series trucks are America's most popular pickups for work or play. For more information, go to Fordvehicles.com.
DEARBORN, August 6, 2007 - Ford F-Series, America's best-selling full-size pickup for 30 years, is the culmination of nearly 60 years of Built Ford Tough reliability, power and presence. F-Series sets the standard for strength and toughness with more trucks on the road with more than 250,000 miles than any other brand.
With a maximum tow rating of 11,000 pounds when properly equipped and maximum payload capacity of 3,050 pounds, the F-150 is the most capable full-size pickup in its class.

The Ford F-150 offers the industry's widest variety of body configurations, including three cab choices, three box lengths, two box styles and five unique series: the entry-level F-150 XL, fun and athletic F-150 STX, all-purpose F-150 XLT, off-road ready F-150 FX4, and the luxurious F-150 Lariat - to which the King Ranch version adds even more luxury. All cabs feature four doors for easy access.

New Features Add Convenience and Security
The F-150 continues the tradition of providing innovative new features designed to meet the ever-changing needs of today's truck customers, including the factory-installed Cargo Management System and Rearview Camera.

The Cargo Management System is a factory-installed feature, available on any truck with the 6.5-ft. Styleside box. It provides a simple, easy-to-use solution for secure storage of all types of cargo. The basic system comes with two side rails, a pair of bins, a pair of crossbars and a header bar. Extra bins and crossbars are easily added when extra capability and flexibility is needed:

Strong extruded aluminum double channel rails allow multiple accessories to be installed. Rails have cleat positions every 90 millimeters accommodating a wide range of cargo. Easily adjustable, cast aluminum cleats are designed to hold over 600 pounds.
Extruded aluminum crossbars hold up to 100 pounds and feature T-Slots on all four sides designed for non-traditional attachments such as hanging skis or fishing poles from the bottom.
Side mounted, blow-molded plastic, tool bins can hold up to 60 pounds and feature double wall construction, providing a watertight, thermal barrier that keeps beverages cold when used as a cooler.
Push button lock on the bins automatically keys itself to the first ignition key that is turned in the lock, enabling the owner to use one key for all the bins.
The Rearview Camera System is mounted in the tailgate handle bezel and is activated when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, giving the driver a clear view behind the vehicle. The video image is displayed in the self-dimming rearview mirror, a natural place for the driver to look while in reverse. For those truckers that tow, this system gives them the visibility they need to back up to their trailer and lineup precisely to hook up the hitch.

Additional new features for 2008 include:

Standard tachometer on F-150 XL and STX with manual transmission.
Power Code ä Remote Start System available as a factory-installed option.
Manual telescoping Trailer Tow Mirrors with Power Glass and Chrome Skull Caps available with F-150 XLT and Lariat Chrome Packages.
A Tire Pressure Monitoring System is included in the Heavy Duty Package.
Two new exterior colors: Stone Green on all models and Mahogany on the King Ranch.
2008 Adds More Choices to an Already Stellar Line-up
Ford further expands an already unmatched lineup of more than 60 unique F-Series with the addition of the new Lariat Limited package, a Wheels and Stripes Package on the F-150 STX and the first-time availability of an F-150 XL SuperCrew with either 5.5- or 6.5-ft. Styleside box.

The Limited Package adds a special flair to the Lariat SuperCrew and features a custom White Sand Metallic, monochromatic paint scheme and unique features inside and out including:

Body colored front and rear bumpers, fascia, wheel lip moldings, door handle bezels with chrome strap and a billet-style grille accented with a chrome surround.
Deluxe mirrors with body color skullcaps.
22-inch polished, forged aluminum wheels with painted accents and special Limited identification.
Four-inch polished, stainless steel tubular running boards and chrome exhaust tip.
Dark Shadow Gray headlamps and smoked taillamps.
Two-tone leather captain's chairs, leather steering wheel and shift knob.
Accent color on console lid; door panel.
Unique instrument cluster face. The F-150 XL SuperCrew , available for the first time, will be a favorite of value-conscious customers looking for all the flexibility offered in a crew cab pick-up. It comes standard with:

Power side exterior mirrors.
AM/FM stereo clock with CD.
Color-coordinated carpet and floor mats.
Overhead console.
40/20/40-split cloth front seat with manual driver lumbar. To compliment the F-150's best-in-class towing capability, customers can opt for a set of manual trailer tow mirrors available across the entire F-150 lineup. The fully adjustable mirrors measure 8.2-inches wide by 13.7-inches high and extend out 3.5 inches.
F-150 Mid-box
Fleet owners can choose an innovative mid-box, mounted in front of the standard pickup bow and behind the cab that provides lockable storage for tools and other valuable items.

The rugged, steel construction features double-paneled doors that are accessible from both sides of the vehicle and lock and unlock with the same key that operates the driver's door. Latches feature double-bitted keys and lock tumblers designed to provide exceptional security. Dent-resistant exterior door panels wear factory Ford door handles for a well integrated look and feature commercial grade sealing delivering a weather- and dust-resistant interior compartment.

The mid-box is available on Regular Cab with 145-inch wheelbase and SuperCab with 163-inch wheelbase in Oxford White monototone exterior paint.

Bold Design, Inside and Out
Tall-shouldered and proud, the F-150 profile features a self-assured, "planted" stance. The bold front end conveys strength with quad-circle-styled headlamps, designed in clusters, and incorporates a wrap-around fascia treatment that communicates refined sophistication and precision. The front doors feature Ford's signature stepped-down truck beltline.

Inside, F-150 boasts passenger comfort and head-turning style. Three different instrument cluster designs give each series a distinctive look. All models feature an upscale two-tone instrument panel.

The flow-through center console gives customers the option of two captain's chairs with a floor shifter on FX4 and Lariat models. The floor shifter, another F-150 first, is a sophisticated design, detailed in warm steel and chrome. Vehicles equipped with a 40/20/40-split-front-bench seat have a different instrument panel center stack optimized for middle-passenger legroom.

Confident Power and Capable Chassis
F-150 offers three engine choices: a 4.2-liter V-6 engine, a 4.6-liter Triton™ V-8 and the top-of-the-line 5.4-liter, three-valve Triton V-8.

The 5.4-liter Triton V-8 engine delivers 300 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 365 pound-feet of torque at 3,750 rpm. A flex-fuel version can run on E85.

Segment-first torque-based electronic throttle control uses driver input from the accelerator pedal to actively modulate the torque at the drive wheels. The technology produces a seamless and consistent engine response, improved fuel economy and enhanced integration of vehicle systems, such as the transmission, variable camshaft timing, vehicle speed control and idle speed control.

Engineering advances in the F-150 lead to exceptional handling, ride and quietness. The fully boxed frame with hydroformed front rails is the strongest in its class and reduces shake and shudder on rough roads. Liquid-filled engine mounts, or "hydromounts" on the V-8 engine, stifle much of the engine's noise and vibration before it can reach the passenger compartment.

Both 4x2 and 4x4 models use coil-on-shock, long-spindle, double-wishbone front suspension. The suspension reduces unsprung weight to help provide better ride and stability on choppy, broken surfaces.

The Hotchkiss-design rear suspension has been optimized with rear shock absorbers placed outboard of the frame rails for a smoother ride and improved control of body lean.

Safety and Security
The strong hydroformed front frame rails are built to help manage crash forces. Upon impact, these areas of the frame are designed to collapse in an accordion fashion, dissipating energy before it reaches the passenger compartment.

As a result, F-150 has earned The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's 5-star rating for driver and right-front-passenger frontal crash rating. It also received a "Good" rating in frontal offset crash testing performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

The F-150's portfolio of safety features includes the Ford Personal Safety System® and occupant-sensing technology for the first-row passenger. The frontal air bags offer multiple deployment levels that tailor inflation force to the severity of the crash.

The Personal Safety System also includes height adjustable safety belts with pretensioners and energy management retractors.

Four-wheel, vented-disc, anti-lock brakes are standard. F-150 4x2 V-8 models can be ordered with Traction Assist to improve acceleration and stability on slippery surfaces.

Title: The Ford F250 XLT. Love It Or Hate It

Author: Kerry Plowright

Article:
If you're looking for a big pick up that's got plenty of power
and room in the back, the Ford F250 XLT 4x2 certainly fits the
bill. While the Ford F250 is big and rugged, it's a different
story once you climb inside the cabin. The F250 has been a
popular choice in Australia for many years and it seems that
this will be unlikely to change any time soon.

The Ford F250 XLT 4x2 is a huge luxury pick up truck that dwarfs
over the Japanese models such as the Toyota Hilux and the
Mitsubishi Triton. The F250 is not only a lot bigger; it's much
more expensive as well. In fact, a new F250 XLT 4x2 will set you
back over $62,000, so if you're after one of these behemoths,
you may just have to look for a good one owner used vehicle.

The Ford F250 XLT 4x2 is available in a Super Cab and Crew Cab
version. They are powered by a 5.4 litre V8 petrol engine, so if
you are concerned about rising fuel prices, you may need to look
at something a little smalle, and in diesel. The V8 engine is
coupled to a four speed automatic transmission.

If you like a little comfort when you're behind the wheel of
your pick up, then the F250 shouldn't disappoint. Inside the
spacious cabin of both the Super Cab and the Crew Cab, you'll
find premium cloth trim seats, six disc, in dash CD player, air
conditioning and a fully adjustable, soft feel steering wheel as
standard equipment. Cruise control is also standard as are power
windows and remote entry.

Safety options include four wheel ABS braking as well as driver
and front passenger airbags. The Ford F250 also has a limited
slip diff for when you're driving on the rough stuff or in
hazardous weather conditions.

Both versions of the Ford F250 are powered by a 5.4 litre V8
engine that produces 194 kw of power at 4,500rpm and produces a
hefty 475Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. The power of the V8 coupled
with the 4 speed automatic transmission makes the F250 a great
option for towing larger boats, caravans and horse floats as the
towing capacity is a massive 3.5 tonnes. And if you want to
throw your tools in the back as well, then the payload allows up
to 1.5 tonnes. .

For many, the F250 will not be a suitable option as it is hard
to park, chews through the fuel and tends to invoke certain
stereotypical views about their owners. However, for others, the
F250 will probably be the only option worthy of consideration.
It's a love it or hate it kind of vehicle.

Title: Ford's Nonstop Innovation in the Truck Market

Author: Jay Stevens

Article:
Ford Motor Corp., the third largest automaker around the world,
boasts its stable reign in the truck sales. In the past two
years, the automaker sold over 900,000 F-Series pickups. Said
figure is 800,000 more per year for the past 8 years. In the
past 30 years, no other carmaker has established sales of
800,000 - only Ford.

Doug Scott, Ford Truck Group marketing manager, said, "We've
accumulated more than 40 awards for F-150 over the past two
years. We simply know truck customers better than anyone else."
Scott added, "Leveraging Built Ford Tough and our unrivaled
heritage of durability and reliability earned through consistent
day in and out performance for Ford Truck customers during the
past 58 years is crucial to the truck team's offense-based game
plan."

Ford F150, best-selling truck in the F-Series, is deemed the
bread-and-butter of the company. In its introduction 2004, the
automaker flaunted its http://www.carpartsmax.com/Ford_F150_Pickup_Parts.html, which is designed to
produce a powerful car that can withstand difficult demands of
towing. This year, Ford brought back the Harley-Davidson F-150
and Super Duty versions. Subsequently, it also delivered new
chrome packages for both models. The models are also given
Sirius Satellite Radio and 20-inch wheels.

According to Todd Lenz, F150 marketing manager, several Ford
vehicles like the F150, are already employing flexible
power train. As a fact, F150 uses a E85 Ethanol, which allows
owners to use domestic produced, renewable, inexpensive, and
clean alternative to the conventional petroleum-based gasoline.
The drawback though is that there is scarce supply of E85 pumps.

Ford is considering building concept trucks that utilizes
several http://www.carpartsmax.com/Ford_F250_Heavy_Duty_Pickup_Part
s.htm
plus other groundbreaking
parts and accessories to come up with better trucks. These new
vehicles are expected to be displayed at the upcoming North
American auto shows.

"Innovation has long been the key to Ford's success with
trucks," Scott concluded. "While our competitors play catch-up
we're continuing to anticipate the features that matter to the
consumer and get there before the other guys do."

Ford trucks are untouched by the ongoing market shift to small,
sleek, compact cars. According to auto analysts the secret
behind its success is the focus on quality and innovations. The
marketplace has long been convinced of the quality of Ford
trucks. This is the reason why, for several decades now, Ford is
amassing a hefty truck sales.

Ford Defective Door Attorney Says:   by Anna Henningsgaard

Have you or someone you loved owned or ridden in a Ford F150, Ford F250 light-duty, Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator or Lincoln Blackwood model from 1997-2000? These models suffer from a serious defect that threatens the safety and lives of its passengers. As early as 1995 Ford's testing on an Expedition revealed a defect in the door latching mechanism. It was found that under very light impact the doors would unlatch and open, resulting in victims falling from the vehicles, causing paralysis and death. Aware of this serious danger, Ford continued to release these defective models.

In late 1997, Transport Canada ran its own vehicle safety tests and observed this same door latch problem, contacted Ford, and revealed the defective doors to the public. Door latch systems are required by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 206) to withstand the forces of a crash and remain closed, protecting drivers and passengers. The Ford vehicles do not follow this law. Some customers have even observed their Ford door opening while simply driving down the road. However, most customers do not become aware of the defect until it threatens their lives in a crash situation. By then it is too late.

All the accidents, injuries, and deaths resulting from the Ford door latch malfunctions could have been easily prevented, since it is alleged that Ford has known about the illegal, dangerous defect throughout the manufacturing process. Ford has not yet fixed the doors. Because the defect is illegal and because Ford knowingly distributed these dangerous vehicles, you may be entitled to monetary compensation from Ford for any injuries you or your family has suffered.

This defect may affect as many as 400,000 pickup trucks and SUV's, and lawsuits have already been filed. As far apart as Canada and Texas, victims of Ford Motor Vehicle Company's defective door latches have won huge monetary damages to repay for injuries as well as to fix their cars. Ford Motor Vehicle Company has placed you and your loved ones in danger by distributing this dangerous, illegal model. Even those who have not sustained injuries in a crash have won money to replace the broken doors. Please take action before it is too late. Contact a lawyer and discuss your case. GA
